Fallen Leaves from Brú na Boinne - An original hand felted artwork

I collected the fallen leaves on a beautiful winter solstice morning whilst rambling around & taking in the sights of Newgrange, Knowth & Dowth, in the stunning Boyne Valley. I used them as templates so hopefully a little bit of magic from that morn is present in the picture & it sends out happy solstice energy to you.

It is hand felted using merino, bamboo, soybean & recycled sari silk wool in a variety of stunning colours. This is a very textured piece is hand embellished with beads & spirals.

Hand felted using water, olive oil soap, friction & time

Handcrafted in The Boyne Valley

One of a kind but please contact me if you would like something similar made. If this particular piece is sold a similar one will be handmade for you. Due to the nature of felt making, no two will be identical & the positioning of wool, textures, silks & detail will be different but the same lovely colour scheme will be used.

 Frame size 53 x 73cm   Artwork approx size 45 x 65cm

Please check out my fb & instagram page for a wee video of it.

Off white solid wood box frame is handmade in Ireland. Due to the size of the piece Perspex glass has been used. The artwork is hand sewn onto the backing board so it will not move. The frame is ready to hang.

Each piece is one of a kind & handcrafted in my home studio in the heart of the Boyne Valley, Slane, Co. Meath.

Any queries please contact me at info@boann.ie

Thanks so much for looking
